The Gewandhausorchester in Leipzig is among the oldest and most prestigious orchestras in the world. Founded 281 years ago, today’s ensemble consists of some 185 musicians. It’s the world’s largest traveling professional orchestra, on tour roughly one-third of the year.

The Gewandhausorchester is famous – and in demand – around the globe thanks to its world-class conductors and musicians. But without their instruments, even the greatest artists can’t perform.

That’s why as official logistics partner we make sure that their six tons of equipment get from venue to venue on time – everything from music stands and the bulky double bass right down to the diminutive triangle. This precious cargo includes over one hundred highly valuable and sensitive instruments, some of which are one-of-a-kind. To make sure it all arrives safe and sound at each concert venue, the instruments travel in our perfectly climate-controlled containers.
