DHL Exported New York Winner: Francesca Liberatore

Italy’s Francesa Liberatore will present her designs at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York on September 8, 2014 after being selected as one of four winners of the inaugural DHL Exported program.

The Milan-based designer is a graduate of Central Saint Martins in London, where she began to accrue the international experience she'd later rely on to expand her eponymous label. Francesca built up an impressive resume, working at Viktor & Rolf, Jean Paul Gautier and Brioni before winning the Next Generation competition at Milan Fashion Week in 2009.

Since then, her success has grown exponentially, with showings in Rome, Paris, London, Tokyo, New York and Seoul, making her an ideal candidate for taking her brand abroad. That's why out of 150 applications for four positions, she was selected by DHL and IMG Fashion to present her collection as part of the DHL Exported program at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York.

The so-called “enfant prodige” was overjoyed at the news that she'd be representing DHL Exported and has been busy preparing her collection for her debut show in the Big Apple on September 8, 2014.
